The Tech21 Evo Check case for Samsung Galaxy S6 is ultra-thin and lightweight, with advanced impact protection built-in. Should you drop your Galaxy S6 on the ground, Impactology tech with FlexShock absorbs, dissipates and repels impact. But it’s not just about protecting your device – the Tech21 Evo Check also looks good, with its checked smokey black rear and red coloured edge. The Evo Check is available in range of colours including blue/grey, pink/white, purple/white, smoky/black, and clear. It comes with a lifetime warranty. Tech21 has a massive discount on this case (at time of writing) so you can get it for as low as  £7.49/ US$9.99. Cheap and cheerful, the FlexiShield clips on to the rear of the Samsung Galaxy S6 without adding bulk, aiding grip and protecting it from bumps and scrapes. Slightly raised from the screen, the FlexiShield can also keep the Quad-HD panel from coming into contact with hard surfaces when placed face down. The gel material is strong and durable, and available in blue, light blue, purple or clear. You’ve probably heard of Mophie, the brand with the best reputation for smartphone battery cases – and with good reason. Its cases are the best built, most reliable on the market. Obviously they add bulk to the S6, which is a shame given it is so sleek – but the battery life can suffer thanks to its AMOLED screen, so the Mophie is a good choice if you need to keep going long into the night. The Griffin Survivor All Terrain has a bit of a rep in the phone indsutry for being the most heavy duty mainstream case out there, and the Galaxy S6 version is no exception. It’s guaranteed to survive a 2m drop and will keep out wind, rain, dust and anything else that could possibly ruin your beloved device. Just don’t expect to maintain the S6’s slimline figure; this case will turn it into an indestructible brick. For something a bit different we love these real wood and polycarbonate cases for the Samsung Galaxy S6 made by Cover-Up. The company lists 13 real wood cases with a variety of wood finishes and inlaid patterns, which clip on to the rear of the phone offering lightweight but solid protection. All WoodBack cases are cut and hand-finished in its South Wales workshop, and this Walnut version is just £16.95/US$24.00 from its online store. Carved makes beautiful handmade wooden cases for the Samsung Galaxy S6. Made from real wood, each design is unique. What we especially like about the Satellite Series is that you get to design your own using one of 50 gorgeous designs. These are $59 (approx £40) each, with international shipping costs of $5.99 (approx £4.30). Carved also offers a selection of ready-made Samsung Galaxy S6 cases on its site starting at the cheaper price of $29 (approx £20). This case is not available in the US however. For UK shoppers, there is a shipping fee of $6 (around £4.30) if you buy directly from Rhinoshield, though orders over $40 are free. Similar to the above Olixar FlexiShield but made from a resilient polycarbonate, the Xqisit iPlate is the ideal clip on cover for your Galaxy S6. It’s transparent with a high-gloss finish, and does well to show off the attractive handset it protects. It is not available in the US, however.  We really like this stylish Samsung Galaxy S6 case from Obliq. Its two-tone black polycarbonate and titanium space grey metallic-style back plate makes the Samsung Galaxy S6 look even more like an iPhone than it already does – and for some of you that will be very good news. This official Samsung Galaxy S6 S-View case works by attaching to the rear cover of the Galaxy S6 and adding a flip-out leather cover to the front, adding as little to the overall size and weight as is possible, and providing ultimate protection for the screen. The S-View functionality is cool, allowing you to view incoming calls and messages, control music, check the time or weather and more without even lifting the cover. It’s even clever enough to work out what colour case you are using and customise the background colour to compliment it. Marie is Editor in Chief of Tech Advisor and Macworld.
